Julie Delafield, LPC Associate, LMFT Associate

Julie is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. She is passionate about helping couples, individuals and adolescents who are struggling with interpersonal issues. Julie has experience working with anxiety, depression, grief and relationship concerns. She is also counseling individuals who are struggling with COVID- related anxiety and depression. She is welcoming of all beliefs, ethnicities, race, gender and sexual orientation. She is an ally to the LGBTQ+ community. She works with ages 17 to 99.
Julie has professional training and completed the Core Skills trainings for Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), an approach created by Sue Johnson – and uses many of the EFT techniques in therapy. Julie believes “EFT is especially helpful to identify and interrupt the negative cycles that cause relationship difficulties.” She is also trained in Gottman Level l and Level ll Couples Therapy and is a Certified Anxiety Treatment Professional.
Julie completed her internship at The Christi Center for Grief and Loss in Austin, Texas, where she provided grief counseling to children, adolescents and adults. Many of her clients were not only navigating the process of grief, but also struggling with the anxieties and pressures of adjusting to a new normal in today’s world of social media and disconnection.
Julie lives in Fort Worth with her husband and four small dogs. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her doglets and watching movies. She indulges her creative side with knitting and stained-glass projects.
