Laura Kemp is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, trained in mindfulness.
Laura has experience working with children ages 6+, teens, adults & families. She helps clients with a variety of issues including anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, depression, grief, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders and behavioral problems.
Laura is committed to helping individuals navigate the stressors in their lives including understanding the impact of the past on current stressors, and how to develop better coping skills to use in the present and future. Each client is unique and requires a personalized treatment plan for success, however, she may also utilize a Client-Centered, Person in The Environment, and a Holistic approach. She also provides Somatic Therapy to help clients understand the mind/body connection. As well, she uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Laura is gentle and loves to listen, and prides herself on being able to use her empathic abilities to see the individual as who they are, and not what they are struggling with.
Laura enjoys gardening, yoga, meditation, being out in nature, and spending time with family and friends.
