About Us
I love what I do! I love to make a difference and I love to see both the quick, short-term changes and the long-term permanent changes that counseling provides. What could be more rewarding! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in individual, couples and family therapy. Among my areas of expertise are couples counseling including clients struggling with relationship problems, alienation, conflict and infidelity issues. I also enjoy working with children, adolescents and families incorporating a creative approach using art, play and sand tray therapy. I am a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, a PREP (Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program) facilitator utilizing PREP techniques in my couples therapy sessions, and have training in Sand Tray Therapy. I worked for the Cayman Island Government in Grand Cayman for over 6 years as a Family Therapist helping families overcome a variety of problems including working at an inpatient and outpatient drug and alcohol treatment facility. I have a BA in Elementary Education from Texas Woman’s University and MS in Family Therapy from Texas Woman’s University 2000). I recently received additional training in 2011 in Gottman Couples Therapy, Couples in Conflict.
A large part of my success can be traced to the fact that I use the latest therapy techniques and I care deeply about each person I see. Your success in dealing with your challenges is always on my mind. I thrive on seeing you happy again.
