Kaitlin “Katie” Deen is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Registered Play Therapist (RPT).
Katie works with adults, children and families. She also specializes in counseling children and adolescents ages 3 to 17 years-old and utilizes play therapy and activity therapy when working with young children.
Katie believes in a client-centered, holistic approach to counseling and incorporates brief, behavioral, and cognitive techniques within therapy as needed for each individual client. She believes in the importance of incorporating parents into treatment and provides skills training, parent education, resources, and support for the entire family unit. Katie has experience working with a variety of mental health issues including behavioral concerns, ADHD, low self-esteem, parenting concerns, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and abuse.
Katie has lived in North Texas most of her life. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the DFW area with her husband and three children.
